1930’s Maccaferri-7-String-Organ Pipe-Guitar-Prototype

Comments:

This instrument is a bit of a mystery.  The only clue is an image of Maccaferri playing a similar instrument in the early 1930’s in Paris.  In the article:

Maccaferri describes a loudspeaker membrane connected to a 12 organ-type pipes.  The loud speaker drum and general shape looks like a match.  However, the open cutout near the fret board and hight of the fret board are clearly different.
