1932 Orchestre Jazz Model Serial Number 181

First year production Selmer Maccaferri,no. 181, 1932. This guitar is is astounding. 87 years old with original case (even more rare than the guitar). There is only 10 to 15 of these left in the world in any condition. This guitar has been played by some of the best gypsy guitarists around today, Stochelo Rosenberg, Tchavolo schmitt, Adrien Moignard, Mathieu Chatelain, Sammy Dsussat to name a few. The last owner had this guitar for over 45 years. He bought it in London in the early 70's.
The top of the guitar was replaced in London prior to him buying it, he never knew that it had been replaced which leads me to believe that it was replaced a long time when he bought it. The top was expertly replaced by the renound luthier Marco Roccia. He signed it on the underside of the top behind the resonator (see pic), The craftsmanship is second to none.
The guitar has been authenticated by the worlds leading specialist on Selmer guitars, Francois Charle in Paris, a verification document accompany's the guitar and case.
This is a chance to own a piece of gypsy guitar history.
